How to Get Scratches Out of Sunglasses?
Here are some of the easiest and practical methods to remove scratches from sunglasses.
Using Toothpaste to Fix Scratched Sunglasses
One of the easiest ways to fix scratched sunglasses is toothpaste. It contains mild abrasives that will remove any fine scratches on the lens. All you have to do is spread a dab of paste on a cotton cloth and rub it gently on the lenses of your glasses for a few minutes. Rinse with cold water and dry with a soft cloth. This method works well, but sometimes it just can’t get rid of deeper scratches, so don’t expect miracles from this one.
Using Peanut Butter
If your sunglasses have only surface scratches, then there’s an easy solution for this as well. You can use items that you most probably already have at home: peanut butter! Is this not amazing?
Spread some creamy peanut butter over the lenses and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then use a soft cloth to remove the residue. Repeat the process if necessary and then polish with a dry cloth. If you have stubborn scratches, try using extra crunchy peanut butter, it has more abrasives in it, which will do the trick much faster.
Using Liquid Compound to Remove Scratches from Sunglasses
All you have to do is mix two compounds together, liquid polisher compound and liquid wax compound. The mixture should be a 50/50 ratio of both liquids. You can buy this at any Car Accessories Shop. Then, apply it over the lenses evenly with a cotton wool swab and leave it overnight for best results.
If none of these methods works on your scratched-up sunglasses, then it’s time to take them to the opticians; they may be able to fix your lenses.

Bonus Method Remove Scratches from Sunglasses
If none of the above work on your polarized glasses, then try using Brasso or Nevr-Dull metal polish. You can buy either of these at any local store like Walmart, etc. You need to put a little bit of polish on a soft piece of cloth (cotton) and rub in a circular motion until you remove all scratches from your lens, leaving behind crystal clear glass. It works great on plastic too.
After you have successfully removed all scratches from your sunglasses, use a dry piece of cloth to wipe the lens down and polish it with a clean one for an extra shine.
